P.S. We're watching (well, I'm re-watching) the first season of Heroes. Even though the show went down the drain, I still love season 1!

The dining room needed some color. So I hung a blanket- my mom made all of us these blankets last year using our great-grandma's quilting squares.

Movin' on up

First off- a huge thank you to Jeanette Hooper, Ma and Pa Biehl, the Winstead family, the Han family, Seth Whitmer, Raj Chetty, Aunt Kathy, Cally Johnson, Clarence Holden and of course K-U-R-T. You are movers extraordinaire.
This place is a bazillion times better than our old apartment. And that's not an exaggeration. Absolutely everything about this place is an upgrade from our old apartment (washer/dryer, dish washer, garbage disposal, microwave, newer, bigger, better neighborhood, quiter, higher ceilings, more storage, more plug ins, parking spot, covered parking spot, etc.). I can't tell you how happy and excited I am to be living here!

Busy Week!

If you haven't heard the news...we're moving this week! It happened rather suddenly (on Saturday), but we're so so so very excited. It will be a big upgrade. 2 bedrooms, washer/dryer, dishwasher, AND a microwave. That's right- we don't have a microwave in our current apartment. I had to learn how to melt butter on the stove! Don't worry, it was a quick learning curve. This is the apartment complex we're moving into on Friday- it's in Bothell. Instead of buying/scrounging up a bunch of cardboard boxes we decided to rent them from Frog Boxes, located here in Seattle. We had them delivered to Kurt's parents' house. We went there straight after work today and could only fit 21/25 of the empty boxes into our car. I decided to start packing and ended up filling all 21! Once you pop you just can't stop...or is that Pringles? It will be a busy week!

Oh happy day!

I was filing at about 4 o'clock today, listening to NPR's Fresh Air on my iPod, and thinking about how the work day had been super long and I couldn't wait to leave in 1.5 hours. I started heading back to my desk...and Kurt was there! It was a bit confusing. What did he say? Let's go to a movie! I was all for it. I gave myself an hour of vacation time and off we went downtown to see The Green Hornet: Kurt gave it a C. It was an awesome surprise and made my week! Thank you Kurt!!!

They're demolishing a building (with plans to rebuild a bigger, better building) on campus at Northwest Hospital. To say farewell employees of NWH were allowed to come and spray paint the building. We arrived a little late, but here's some of the damage.

Something you should know about Northwest Hospital- they HATE Swedish! Apparently there was some drama before my time.
