I forgot to include this in the July 2017 Highlights post, as it happened at the very end of the month and was in with my August pictures. But I think it's worthy of it's own post!
Kurt has been working hard for months to lose weight! He won the Biggest Loser competition at work and then needed something else to work towards. So he signed up for a sprint triathlon. He sacrificed sleep to get up early and train. After months of hard work, the day arrived!
We stayed in a hotel in Logan as Kurt had to be there super early. The kids and I just went for the end....I was terrified we were going to miss it! I had to wake up Hattie and we hurried over as fast as we could. Thankfully, we made it in time. As Kurt ran toward us, Hattie went to join him (in her PJs and with Pink Blanket in tow) and they crossed the finish line together. It was adorable and surprisingly emotional. I started crying! As did Kurt, the big softy! I was just so proud, and even though I didn't do anything it felt like an accomplishment for me too....I guess that's how a good relationship works, right? Their accomplishments are your accomplishments?
Way to go Kurt! We are so proud!!! And so happy that you're healthier so we hopefully get a few more years with you ;)
He wore elephant socks in honor of Henry! #welovehenrybiehl
He finished in the middle of the pack and beat his goal for how long it should take. You are amazing Kurt!

July 2017: Everyday
Baby in a basket!
She made a spider!
Haircut!!!
It's kinda small, but here's the first blanket I ever crocheted!
She did here eyeshadow!
It's her family! I love that her primary teachers always remember to include Henry!
Hattie made Roman a crown!
A: Retired
Waiting for swim lessons to start:
Checking out G-Pa
Riding in the Slingshot!
So proud of himself! Pulling himself into standing was exciting just a couple months ago...now it's old hat (it's September as I'm writing this).
Dress like a cow, get free food! Chick-fil-a Cow Appreciation Day!
Diaper changes have become difficult.
She desperately wanted a unicorn pillow....and we actually found one! The pillow was named Glitter Dazzle, but it has since changed to Glitter Sparkle.
Kurt fell asleep on the couch and Hattie put her blanket on him!
She did the puzzle all by herself!
Sometimes he's happy when he wakes up from a nap.
I crocheted a couple headbands!
Drinking from a sippy cup! So long bottles (not that we used them very often).

July 2017: Highlights
A few more pictures from our trip to Idaho for Henry's Angel Day: Hattie always wants to get in the tub with Roman. It's pretty cute!
Grandpa took us on a drive to see where the canal starts (up by Heise).
Hattie and Afton play so well together these days! Taking turns spinning each other on the swing.
A comfy lawn mower ride.
Roman's first 4th of July! He did not like the noise so we went inside and watched through the window. First we watched people setting them off in the backyard.
And then we watched the City of Kaysville show from the window upstairs. Thanks for letting us come Kelly and John!
And Roman turned 8 months old! He moves around like crazy with his army crawl and started getting himself into sitting position. He loves to wave and clap and we love him!
Hattie took swim lessons! I didn't get many pictures because Roman and I waded in the shallow kiddie area. Hattie loved it (again) and passed level 1! I'm so proud of her and she was so excited to have passed!
And the Han's came to visit! Everyone else went to watch the fireworks show (for Pioneer Day...but it wasn't on Pioneer Day. Crazy Ogden!) and we had a girls night...plus Roman.
The kids loved jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler!
Hiking to the waterfall!
And swimming at the hotel. Roman loved it ;)
We had nothing to do one weekend and decided to take a trip to Antelope Island! We went to the ranch for the first time which was Hattie's favorite part. It was a fun little trip, but too hot!!!
Roman kept on waving for the camera. Adorable!
We're sheep!
Roping cattle
A big chair!
It's so beautiful!
