Some turned out better than others, but we had fun! I also baked a cake and made sorbet for dessert tomorrow. I tried making the frosting twice and it didn't turn out either time. How does Martha do it? We also ran out of sugar, and I ran out of patience, so Kurt make some powdered sugar icing :) Hopefully it tastes ok! The reason for the season isn't cake though, right? And hey, if it tastes awful then I won't be put in charge of dessert ever again!

What kind of frosting were you trying to make? I've got a good butter cream, chocolate, and cream cheese recipe if you want any of those!
ReplyDeleteI think it was a meringue-y frosting to go with the lemon cake (like lemon pie). It wasn't your traditional frosting! I'd love all your frosting recipes though if you're willing to share! I'm sure they'll be a next time :) Thanks Corinne!
