August 2017: Highlights

April 2017: Everyday

I forgot to include this video in March (it was the very end).  Hattie likes to watch YouTube videos and here's her imitation :)

She. Is. Awesome.  I love her so much!

It was fun watching her figure out how this fence worked.  And she did!  Sometimes as a mom it's hard not to interfere and show her how to do it, but I'm sure it's better she learns how to figure things out herself!

She brought me breakfast in bed!!!  No milk, thank goodness...that could've been a mess!

First time in the double stroller together!  Sometimes Hattie doesn't want her picture taken...

We always send a picture to Kurt when she chooses to wear her Seahawks shirt.  Goofball!

She's giving me a foot massage!!!

And she did my hair.  We were playing Salon.

She also 'decorated' her own hair.

And took a picture of her own lips.

Kurt and Roman in the foyer at church!

Sometimes she's a wonderful helper!  She LOVED being in charge of the tortillas.  She dropped a few on the ground trying to flip them over, but she got the hang of it.

Hattie discovered she can stick out her tongue while wearing her scary Halloween teeth.

Saturday mornings are the best!!!

Hattie drew an elephant!!!

I love this card I made for Card Club (and with my own mother in mind who loves watermelon!)
 Sick day.

Hiking with the Roths!

Hattie and Afton hitting sticks together to scare away the mountain lions! Hattie has a wonderful memory- she remembered this from watching The Parent Trap several months ago.

He kept grabbing Kurt's apple, so like the good dad he is, Kurt let Roman chew on it!

She is so funny!  That's her hair.

Children's Museum again!

I'm getting better!  Although...this was the beginning of April and I just tried the other day (end of May) and it wasn't nearly as good.  Need to keep practicing to keep my skills up!

Hattie holding Roman is awesome.  I think he's going to be bigger than her sooner rather than later!

Hattie tried on her elephant costume...from her first Halloween!  The top is supposed to go over the bum...

Hattie loves to pick me flowers and put them in vases!  I love that she's had something to pick other than dandelions.

I love how she writes the letter 'e'!

And Roman still loves bath time!

April 2017: Highlights

Roman turned 5 months old and reached several milestones in May!

Can't quite sit up...

He kept following my pear with his eyes and trying to grab it so I let him have his first taste of food!

And then later that day I gave him some applesauce!  He wasn't too sure about his first bite, but ate almost the whole pouch!

I gave him carrots the next day and he's now a champ at eating.

Trying Megan's orange!  He would get mad if she took a bite instead of giving it to him.

See!  He loves food!

Towards the end of the month he started sitting up on his own!  He was pretty unstable, but learned quickly and is so strong now!

And we stated putting him in his crib!  Don't be fooled by the smile...it's been a nightmare.  After over a week of him waking up every 2-3 hours we put him back in the bassinet to get some sleep!  And then we realized he was teething so it was bad timing.  We're going to try a slower transition...wish us luck!  I probably should wait so long next time!

We spent Easter up in Iona and my Uncle Todd was there- he took some fun pictures of Hattie (and the rest of us)!

I LOVE this one of Kurt and Hattie!  These are at the egg hunt in Iona Square.

Playing in the back yard

Easter morning!

 And lots of Roman!

And the rest are my pictures from the weekend!

Roman's first time on the big swing:

Visiting Henry

Before church- Hattie picked out purple ties for the boys!

Stopping by the cemetery one more time before heading home!

Hattie knocked me over

And herself too!

Hattie wanted her picture with George Andrew's grave (Mom- you get a picture with my brother and I'll get a picture with your brother!).

We love going to Iona and I love to get photos with Henry's grave (there are more coming in May!)- especially now that the weather is finally nice and you don't freeze going to the cemetery.

Kurt and I made Easter dinner for us and Grandpa and Hattie dyed eggs with Kurt, Todd, and Melissa.  It was a fun weekend with family!
