Greenlake

After catching the end of Ethan's game, we walked around Greenlake!  It was a beautiful day!

3 months until Christmas!

My junior year of high school I wrote "3 months until Christmas!" in my student planner over the summer.  It made my day when September 25th rolled around, I turned the page, and found this reminder.  I thought of that today and decided to celebrate!  By decorating the table in the 20 minutes I had before Kurt got home (and while making dinner):

Doesn't he look excited?

This is a super old postcard mailed December 23, 1912 that was sent to Lincoln Winship (a family friend).  His aunt sent it to him when he was 3 years old.  The entire address on it says:

Master Lincoln Winship
Garrett, Ill

And that's it!  I'm not sure if that would get to the right person these days.  Also, the stamp is for 1 cent.  Also- 'Master'?!!

Christmas Ornaments!

Merry 3 months until Christmas!

24 weeks!

Which means 16 to go!  Crazytown, USA.  I can't wait to meet Lobi!

Ethan!

We went to watch Ethan's football game last weekend.  I can't believe how big he's getting- he's only a couple inches shorter than me!  And he's only 12!  We love going to watch our nephews play and I'm trying to work on my photography skills...I didn't get too many good shots this game. People kept stepping in front of me so I eventually gave up.  But here are a few:

Ethan's #52 and Ammon was the ball boy!  Also, E's hair is getting long!

Looking all my photos I found this- it almost looks like Ethan's looking at the camera!  Always ready for his close up :)

22 Weeks

She's getting bigger!  And so am I :)  A few things:
  • I notice people looking at me, well at my belly, now (like in the grocery store today) and I can only imagine that the stares will only increase.
  • I get asked 'how are you feeling?' more often than I ever have in my life
  • People compliment me more!  Those I semi-know like to tell me I'm looking 'great' or 'cute'.
  • I find all these things funny because I honest to goodness forget I'm pregnant sometimes.  I don't forget that Lobi's on her way, but I forget that my belly is bigger and that I'm looking pregnant to other people.
  • Kurt felt Lobi move!  So cool!
P.S. If it sounded like I'm complaining about the compliments or concern for my well-being, I'm not!  I just have noticed an increase and thought I'd note it.

Ups and Downs

All of my errands were unsuccessful today so I came home and made this.  I think I'll print it off on some nice paper and hang it in Lobi's room!

From left to right:  Kurt, Lobi, Me

It would've been much faster with Photoshop!  Or anything like Photoshop.  All I have is Picasa (google's free photo editor).

Here's how I did it if you're interested:

Drew my elephants by hand then scanned them in at a high resolution:

Then I cropped them to be their own individual drawings and filled them in by hand (like Microsoft Paint)!  Not too high-tech, but I'm happy with the result!

Finally I merged them in to the above collage, re-sized, repositioned, added text and some dots and there you have it!  I know it's nothing fancy, but I'm proud that it's entirely my own creation.  I didn't steal anything from the internet...not that I've ever done that.  Hope you like it!

P.S. I like elephants!

150,000 miles!

The Rav-er (not raver...the Rav-er, like Rav4) hit 150,000 miles today!  I've had my car for over 7 years now and it was at ~40,000 when we bought it.  It drove me to school my senior year, then took me and all my belongings to college.  It survived many many drives home to Anacortes (especially that first year away from home!) and even a couple to my grandparents' in Idaho.  It drove me to college graduation, to my own wedding and those of my sisters!  And pretty soon it will drive around my own little girl.  We've been through a lot together!  Keep up the good work Rav-er!
