Moving Day

Earlier today Kurt and I helped his grandma move. We found a bunch of old canned food to throw out and put it all into one big box. Then we put it on the hand-truck and headed for the dumpster (it was WAY too heavy to carry). Kurt was in charge of maneuvering the contraption and he did great going down the hall and had no problems while we waited for the elevator. He push the hand truck into the elevator, but as he went through the elevator door the dolly caught and all the food dumped out. Kim (Kurt's sister) and I laughed hysterically. The man already in the elevator wasn't sure what to do. He just kind of made room for the spilled food and the three of us. We quickly re-packed the canned goods upon reaching our destination, to the bewilderment of on-lookers, and made it the rest of the way to the dumpster without incident.

Pantalones

I had some stretchy, athletic-y pants in my locker at the gym. I put them on after working out and walked up to campus. Upon reaching my destination I tried to put my phone in my pocket...but my pocket wasn't there. What? I quickly figured out that apparently I put the pants on inside-out. There was no way to tell this, the stitching and everything was the same inside and out, except that the pockets were unusable. I ate lunch, attended my 2 hour class, and righted them upon my return home.

Crafts and Arts time

I decorated my room a little bit today:

Tada!!!!

A Paris! Je t'aime

(thanks for the inspiration Sarah Hammond!)

Mornings

If you know me at all then you know I am -NOT- a morning person. The past couple days I have slept through my alarm missing my first class one day and arriving late the other. Not ok. I do not like missing class. I was rather annoyed with myself for this inability to wake up in the morning and then I discovered the truth. My alarm hasn't been going off at all! Ahhhh! That's not ok either. Hopefully I have fixed the problem though. So, goodnight all! Cross your fingers that my alarm goes off and I make it to class!

Oops...

Charity: clicking around on Facebook while Kurt does homework then all of a sudden..."Hey, a girl I know got engaged on the day of our wedding!"

Kurt: Oh yeah?

Charity: Yeah! March 30...

Kurt: So, you mean they got engaged 10 days after our wedding?

Charity: Yep.

Embarrassing Moments

I was walking down the stairs of our apartment complex with a very full basket of laundry. There was a guy at the bottom who politely stopped to let me down before he went up. When I was about 5 steps from the bottom I tripped- a pair of Kurt's athletic shorts and some socks flew out, luckily I caught myself before more clothes or I fell to the ground. In my embarrassment I apologized to the guy who said "I'm just glad you caught yourself" as he picked up the dirty socks and shorts (ahhh! he really didn't have to do that). My response? Well, it went something like this "well, I've tripped (I think I said 'done this' now that I think about it) before, I guess I've learned from experience".

Geez Louise. Why do people, including myself obviously, say strange things when embarrassing moments happen making them even more awkward? In the words of the tootsie pop commercials- the world may never know.

Cracked

The case has been cracked! Thank you to the unknown Anders, the known Troy, and the well known Sarah Hammond for their help. My Scandinavian professor is LDS! Troy and I'm assuming Anders known him and Sarah did some research online which brought forth incriminating information (why didn't I do such a thing?). I am impressed at the response my previous blog post received and how quickly it happened! Good work people! It probably helps that all LDS folk seem to be connected somehow...we're a small community.

Theorize

I'm developing a theory that my Scandinavian professor is LDS:

1. He's made the point several times that he does not drink. At all.
2. He mentioned once that he does not do or condone drugs.
3. He mentioned his youngest son is 20 years old and in Japan right now. He did not say his son is there for school or work or anything else. Since he said nothing perhaps he's on a mission. (Because if he's over there for school a dad would say "my son is in Japan for school" right?)

And those are the clues that have brought me to this hypothesis. However, I'm fully aware I could be totally wrong.

Pillow Thief

Apparently the other night at approximately 4am I stole one of Kurt's pillows out from underneath his head. Immediately he asked what I was doing- "It was on my side" I responded. And then I threw it on the floor.
