Day 5

I killed everyone in a game of Settlers. Thanks, Adam, for not watching the board and helping me win faster.

This wasn't my favorite picture day, so enjoy a preview of Day 6:

Days 3 and 4: SF and LA

We met a few celebrities:

The most awesome celebrity we saw all day? Why Tori Doyle of course! Never heard of her? Well, there is a song about her!

Day 2: San Francisco

Kurt and I attended a Giants' game in San Francisco. That's a baseball team if you don't have every sports team memorized (I totally do). Apparently the team is doing pretty well this year and they have quite a few fans. We arrived about halfway through the game and had to pay $40 for two standing-room-only tickets. Here's the stadium:

Kurt was excited to be there!

We also saw some sights:  Golden Gate Bridge

Fisherman's Wharf:

The Painted Ladies:

And it was super foggy/overcast the whole time!

Vacation Day 1: San Francisco

We arrived in San Francisco around 10:30pm. We went straight to our hotel, The El Camino Inn where we proceeded to check in. The lady at the front desk, after looking at our reservation, asked, "Are there only 2 of you?". Yes. Only two. We got our key and proceeded to our room. This is (kind of) what we saw:

Then we went a little further...and found a door:

And what was inside?

Why another room! A kids' room. We had reserved the 'family' room. Whoops.

This past Monday up in Anacortes I was in the middle of preparing 3 or 4 different meals for the twins, and I..er..had to use the restroom. But I couldn't really abandon the stove. Anyways, Lili walks over to me and asks, "Chew, are you doing the bathroom dance?" I'm laughing now as I type, but in the moment I simply turned to her and said "yes" without cracking a smile. Lili promptly informed me "you shouldn't hold your urine. It's not good for you". Thanks for looking out for me Lil!

Tonight Kurt and I went to O'Dea High School's football game. Why? A friend from Kurt's youth is now assistant coaching (and teaching) there. The team had no cheerleaders which confused me for a moment until I recalled that O'Dea is a boys only Catholic school. Then it made sense. I mentioned this to Kurt who informed me O'Dea had students from the girls' Catholic school, Holy Names (really? that's a school name?), cheer for a while but stopped because they were harassed too much...that kind of made sense too. The entire game was filled with me asking random questions about football, how all boy/girl schools worked, and commenting on how weird it would be to attend high school downtown in a big city. I guess it worked though because O'Dea won 28 to 13. My incessant questions definitely won the game :)
