13

Today on February 13th Hattie is 13 months old.  She was born on the 13th day of 2013 in room 13 of the maternity ward.  I think it's her lucky number!

Also, Happy Galentine's Day (for more info see here)!

Hattie's starting to climb!  It's rather scary for me!

She is also starting to repeat words and phrases, loves ring-around-the-rosy, and could eat pesto pasta every night for dinner.  Her only consistent words right now are 'hi' and 'bye' and also elephant noises.

Happy 13 months Hattie!

Growing up!

Exciting news!  Hattie is now using a forward facing car seat.  And she loves it!  Car rides are way better when you can see your parents and out the window.  A huge thanks to Megan and Joe for the car seat!

We also stopped by the little kid playground at the mall for the first time.  She spent most of the time standing right by me and watching the other kids.  Eventually she ventured out to say hello to the turtle:

Here she is all ready for a walk!  It's been much warmer lately (in the 40s!!!)

She's starting to like girly things- like tutus, scarves, and especially mom's necklaces!  Here she is wearing one of my scarves:

She's fascinated by the camera, but always wants to be on my side and see what I'm looking at.  She's starting to smile when I ask her to and it's adorable!  See?

We also put away the 9 month sized clothes this past week!  She just keeps growing and learning!  She's the best!

Seahawks!

In case you didn't hear- the Seahawks won the Super Bowl!!!  I'm not a big football fan, but my husband is! And of course I root for any team from Seattle so it was exciting for them to win.  I decided Hattie and I should dress up for Blue Friday (the Friday before the Super Bowl) but we didn't have any Hawks' gear.  And we no longer live in Washington so I couldn't just go to any old store and buy some.  Instead I made us some shirts using iron on transfers:

We went and visited Kurt (who was wearing his Russell Wilson jersey) to show our support in his rather anti-Seahawks office.  And to show off Hattie of course :)

At one point while watching the Super Bowl I said 'dang it'.  I'm glad I don't use worse language:

Adorable!  Sadly, it was a one day word.  She no longer says 'dang it' even with prompting.  Go Seahawks!
