Pumpkin Patch!

We saw some animals:

Aflac, peacock, Lil' Sebastian, crazy duck who stared me down.

We pet some animals!  Pygmy goats and baby ducks!

And then we found some pumpkins!

Halloween is coming!  Hahahahaha!  (it's a song.  FYI)

FNL (But it was Saturday)

My nephews play football!

Ethan's helping Ammon before his game:

You can't really see, but the back of Ammon's jersey says "Ammo".  Awesome!

I don't know where, but Ammo's in this picture somewhere...

See that kid on the left in the gold jersey?  He was HUGE!  Is he really only 8 years old?

It's definitely a Seattle football game- watching in the rain!  Makes me hope my future children play indoor sports :)

I love watching Ethan and Ammon's games even though I don't know what's going on most of the time!  I am starting to understand more though :)

Cider time!

Hot dogs + donuts

+ adorable niece and nephew

+ apples

+ old-timey cider press

= Cider Party!

Kurt pressed some delicious cider that we've already finished off!  It's unreal how delicious this stuff is.  I love it!  Thanks Aunt Kathy for another great Cider Party!

Correction

Ashley's having twin boys!  The doctor got it wrong the first time.  Whoops!  I guess it really was too early to tell.  Just thought I'd set the record straight!

70 cents off!

A nice surprise on my way out of Anacortes today:

Also, Lili informed me today that she's trying to eat less.
Me: Ok...just don't starve yourself!
Lili: I won't.  That's nonsense!  I don't do nonsense.

I won't worry about you then Lil.

Ikea!

Who doesn't love Ikea?  We bought 2 new floor lamps this weekend and our front room is a much brighter place.  I took the pictures while it was dark though :)

Lamp 1:  I love this one!  It's a lot nicer than what we had before.  I like it even better in our a-p-t than I did in the store.  I think that's a good sign!  Plus, it has a dimmer- fancy!

Lamp 2: The cheapest floor lamp we could find in the store!  Woo!

Here's why it's so cheap:

The cord isn't hidden very well.  Oh well!  We figured it'd be behind a chair anyways.  Yay for new stuff!

Liliana Perez

A couple years ago Kurt and I went up to Anacortes.  We decided to go to Storvic Park and Lili came with us.  The playground had been completely re-done by volunteers from the community.  To commemorate those who helped build it, names were carved into the (plastic) fence posts around the playground.  I noticed one of them had the name 'Liliana' on it which is Lili's name!  I got excited and called her over:
Me: Lili!  There's one with your name on it come and look!
Lili: Really?  Where?!
Me: Right here.  See?  Liliana!  Let's take your picture with it!
Lili: Li-li-an-a. Yeah!  Wait....what's that?  What does that say?!!?  (pointing to the post)
Me: Perez.  That's the this Liliana's last name.
Lili:  Liliana Perez?  Who is Liliana Perez?  I'm not Liliana Perez!!!!

To my dismay she would no longer get her picture taken because Perez was not her last name.  Finally I convinced her to 'cover up' the last name with her hand while I took the picture.  The 'ez' is still in sight!

Turkey Bowl III

Hey look!  It's Husky's Stadium from 520 with an orange sun!  This was the only picture I could find that I took of the stadium :)

Anyways- Kurt and I participated in our 3rd Turkey Bowl together at Husky Stadium!  The only three Turkey Bowls I've played in actually (see this post). It was rather early this year as the stadium will be closing down for some construction.

I had a blast!  I made 3 catches!  3!  It was definitely the best I've ever done.  I've got bumps and bruises, but it was worth it.  Go Tight Ends!  Nice team name, huh?

Dreams

Last night I had a dream that Kurt found us a new apartment to rent!  Without telling me.  It was much bigger than the one we have now, but also much older.  I loved it except for all the mismatched wall paper.  There'd be 2 strips of 1 kind and then right next to it a completely different wallpaper- different color, pattern everything.  It was like a patchwork quilt where each piece horribly clashed with every other piece.  At the bottom of the walls there was a continuous border of wallpaper (all the same) to make it look like the place had baseboards.  I asked Kurt if the landlord said we could take down the wallpaper.  He hadn't thought to ask before he signed the lease.  At my insistence he called the land lady.  She said it'd be ok, but we'd have to put it back up when we left.  Really?  I was so annoyed.  I started taking it down fully intending to never put it back up again.  I started with the 'baseboard'.  Upon removing it I found an actual wood baseboard behind it.  And behind the wood baseboard I found another fake wallpaper baseboard.  Behind the patchwork of wallpapers?  More wallpaper.  It never ended.  Now that I think about it- this was actually a nightmare.

Dream origins?  We watched the episode of The Office where Jim buys Pam a house.  And I think the wallpaper bit comes from Megan and Joe...they've got lots of wallpaper in their house!  Well, there was lots when they bought it :)  But now it's gone and they're painting!  Charlotte's been such a good helper:
