September 2017: Everyday

We saw this in the grocery store and had to buy it!

How Hattie rides to church.  Looks comfy!

Roman LOVES to watch Kurt mow the lawn.

I told her if she wanted to play with the wagon (and the blocks inside) it would need to be cleaned first.  I think she went through half a tub of clorox wipes, but she did it!

Swing!

I gave Roman a piece of watermelon at Hattie's soccer practice thinking he'd chew on it and make a mess.  He ate the whole thing!  And made a mess, so I was half right.

Hattie's in the blue shorts and purple UW shirt!  A friend in the ward has soccer practice once a week for kids around Hattie's age (but any age is welcome).  Hattie loves it!  We need to get this girl in sports.

Just eating breakfast!

Trying on hats at Target!

Roman likes to bite my arm.

And he's discovered the pots and pans!

A couple pictures from my mom when we went swimming at her hotel.  Roman loves the water!

Trying out the rocker.  He's so big!

Trying on Halloween costumes...we can get it on, but its a bit short!  The top is supposed to go over his bum, it's hitting at the top of his pants.  I guess he won't be an elephant for his first Halloween after all.

I love this little outfit!  Even though he wouldn't smile for the camera.

Roman loves playing on the playground!

And the dishwasher.

Hattie drew an orca and a bumblebee (she asked me how to draw a bee first).  She's getting much  better at drawing!

Fun at Grandma Honey's

And fun on the playground (as Hattie calls it) in the living room.  Roman climbs up the slide, down the other side, and now goes down the slide too.  He's great at climbing!

Hattie said we should all wear mom's pink socks one morning.

Him and the climbing!

Hattie discovered a praying mantis out her window!

Fuzzy pictures, but I made this hat for Roman!  It's a bit big, but he can wear if for a couple years!  If only he wouldn't pull it off as fast as possible.  Maybe he'll learn to leave it on when the weather gets colder?  Yeah...wishful thinking.

How I get ready these days.

Climbing up the big slide!

Do you see those two top teeth?!  Brought him up to 4 total.

And videos!

Roman loves to dance!

I love when Hattie entertains Roman in the car!

September 2017: Highlights

Charlotte, my first niece or nephew, got baptized!  I love Charlotte and can't believe she's 8 years old!  I helped out by making/planning some decorations for the luncheon afterwards.  I also sang with Megan, my mom, and Mackenzie (Char's older cousin) and then played guitar for the kids to sing along with during the program.  I was honored to be a part of her special day!

I volunteered to make decorations the week before so I didn't have a ton of time to create or plan, especially when I decided to crochet something!  It's meant to be a table runner, but it's a bit short (it works for a short table!).  So maybe it's a long scarf?  Whatever Char wants to use it for, I hope it reminds her of the day she got baptized and the first covenants she made!

Their dresses would make a nice sunset!

And this was a highlight for me!  I've found several family names that need temple work done (using descendancy (spelling? apparently that's not a word) on the family search app. If you ever want a tutorial I'd be happy to give you one. It's SUPER easy!).  I have 38 female names that need everything done, so I arranged with Megan to watch my kids to get a start on the work.  I drove to the Ogden temple.......and it was closed!  At first I was defeated and then I realized I live in Utah.  So I drove up to Brigham City (about 30 minutes away) and was able to do baptisms and confirmations for ALL 38 of my names!!!  Now I have a bunch of initiatory to get done and then endowments...that will take a while.  And then I have about 100 sealings that need to be done too.  I'm happy to share the load with anyone who would like to help!

This was the last hot day in the forecast (thank goodness! That's a highlight for me) so we put the sprinkler under the trampoline one more time.  I love these pictures!

And Roman turned 10 months old at the beginning of the month. He pulls himself up to standing like a champ, loves grapes, avocados, and cheese, still not a great sleeper, but is such a joy during the day!  We love this boy TONS and are grateful for everyday with him!  I know that's cliche to say, but honestly.  It feels like a privilege to get so many days and months (and hopefully years and years and years) with this boy.  We had such a short time with Henry, reached so few milestones, that we love everything with Roman that much more.  I hope this never wears off, that we always remember what a privilege it is just to get time with our kids, to watch them grow!

Also, I forgot to take pictures, so he's more like 10.5 months in this picture.
