Names!

My nephews have names!  Gus and Ole (O-lee)!  I'm pretty sure I'm going to call them Guster and Oleo (kind of like Oreo).  I seriously cannot wait to meet the little guys!

Movies and Books

You might have seen trailer for this movie recently:

I did, but wasn't really interested in seeing it (Tim Riggins plays the main character through!).  A few days later I was searching for books to read on my Kindle and saw the entire John Carter Series for $0.99.  Who knew it was a book?  They're by the same author who wrote Tarzan.  I'm on the second book now and will probably be dragging Kurt to see it with me on opening weekend :)  I like to read books before I see the movie based off of them.  Sometimes the movies make me angry though if I loved the book and they don't do it justice (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for example.  And Ella Enchanted).

Also, a movie based on the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is in progress!  And of course the Hunger Games movie comes out next month.  I can't wait!

New Game!

It's by the same company who created Settlers of Catan (I think).  We're enjoying it!  Me especially since I keep winning :)

The Pollock Family: soon to be 4

Kurt and I Skyped with Ashley and Adam last night!  Ashley is 35 weeks along with the twins now.  She spend most of last week in the hospital, but luckily all of her stats are somehow better than when she entered the hospital and now she's on bed rest at home!  Despite Ashley's difficulties, both boys are doing great!  They're healthy, each weighing in at about 5 pounds (last I heard), and they have hair!  Baby me is so jealous.  I was bald for a long time.  I should have 2 new nephews soon!  Maybe this week :)

As Kurt and I were falling asleep last night out of nowhere Kurt says, "I don't think Ashley likes me very much.  She's not going to name one of the boys after me!"  I laughed out loud.  The things people say while asleep/falling asleep.  Using that logic, there are a lot of people Ashley doesn't like very much :) 

Hot Po-ta-to!

Upon opening the dishwasher I saw that a spoon had fallen down to the bottom.  I reached down and was about to grab it when I felt a sudden burning pain on my hand!  I jerked away, but crashed into the rest of the silverware and scraped my wrist.  So now I've got a blister on the heel of my hand and a nice scratch on my wrist.  Of all the appliances that could burn you (stove, oven, toaster) you don't really expect it to be the dishwasher.

Talking about warm things, it's been sunny the past few days!  On my way to work in the mornings I wonder, "how do people drive in the sun?  It's blinding!  I can't see anything!"  I think my eyes have adjusted to low light.  But I also get to see the gorgeous mountains!  And there's no rain.  So overall, I'm ok with it :)

This is what I did at work today:

49 banker boxes later and the 2010 files are packed and ready to ship out!  Now all I have to do is put labels on over 1000 folders for the 2012 files....it's a glamorous job, but someone has to do it!

I'm ready for the weekend!!!
