Weeks 1 and 2

Hattie is as healthy as an ox!  She's surpassed her birth weight (up to 7lbs 15oz) and is now 20 inches long!  Week 1 was definitely an adventure, but we had Kurt and Mom (that's grandma to Hattie!) here to help us out.  And it's a good thing because I was very sore and couldn't move around too well.  Week 2 was just me and Hattie during the day!  Kurt went back to work and school and Mom went home.  We survived! 

Hattie had her first bath (not at the hospital)...the pictures aren't great, but at least it's documented!

And we went on our first walk!  It was just to take out the trash, pick up the mail, and then wander around the apartment complex, but it was our first time leaving the apartment!  I also showered and got ready that day.  That doesn't always happen anymore :)

 

 

We've learned that Hattie does not like blankets.  Let alone being swaddled!  Apparently she likes her space and I don't blame her- it was a tight fit inside my belly.  We also found out quickly that she's a cuddler!  She loves being close to people and snuggles right in.  I love it!
