Muy Interesante
I was looking through my old Facebook messages. A few years ago I got a random message from a girl I did not know that said "Just a random hello from one Charity to another. Hope you've been having a great year so far..." (It was January). Another Charity! We had the same name! Had being the key word...her name is now Harmony. So I have a message from a girl named Harmony saying "Just a random hello from one Charity to another. Hope you've been having a great year so far...".

Word on the street
is that Necco Sweethearts have been 'updated'. Their flavors have changed, there are sparkly options, and they have special Twilight conversation hearts (barf). I tried the new flavors...they're DISGUSTING. They're kind of like hard Starbursts, but worse. I'm so disappointed right now. Anyone have some old school Sweethearts they want to give me?

My adorable niece
is looking more and more like Conan O'Brien.

Sweethearts
We are weird
When it comes to things like what to eat for dinner Kurt and I have a hard time: "what do you want?" "I don't know. What do you want?" "I don't know. I asked you first."
When it comes to bigger things we're ridiculously efficient and decisive. 40 minutes after sitting down in the bakery we had the design, flavors, and fillings for each layer picked out and all other details decided on. 30-40 minutes after entering the jewelry shop, we had picked out both of our wedding bands (included in this time frame is Kurt trying on watches for the heck of it).
What does this mean?

Downtown!
Today I rode the bus downtown for an appointment, did a little shopping, and didn't get lost once. Go me!
As I was walking back to the tunnels I saw a girl in front of me do a double take, stop walking, kind of point at another girl and say "oh hey". They each progressed to say "oh my gosh" "funny running into you" "how are you doing" etc. I chuckled to myself, slightly rolled my eyes and shook me head, and thought "how often does that happen?"
Then I took 5 steps, looked up, and saw someone I knew walking down the sidewalk. I waved as he walked towards me, we stopped, said "hey how's it going" "funny running into you" etc.(thankfully neither of us used the high pitched "oh my gosh"). Hm.

Make it work
So, I wrote a couple of blog posts just now and deleted them. I was complaining too much and who wants to hear that? But I like the title so it stays.
Here's to you, reader of 'random thoughts and occurrences'. May your thoughts and occurrences be random.
I leave you with a couple quotes from a different blog:
"Oompa loompas don't sing in heaven. They tidy up the clouds."
and
"Big pig. Massive oink. Little curly tail."

Part of me fears my wedding cake will end up looking like this:
dreaming
I want to travel. I got a taste of the world and now I want more! If only the world weren't so pricey.
Goodnight all! Sweet dreams!

Hospitals
Hello blogosphere!
Once again I address you unhealthily (is that a word?). Before last week I can't remember the last time I went to the hospital. Then, Wham! Strep throat. Went to Urgent Care in Mt. Vernon. Then yesterday, BAM! severe allergic reaction to drugs they gave me for strep, landing me in the ER at Northwest Hospital (yes, the one I work at). My entire upper body is covered-COVERED- in hives. My upper arms, shoulders, neck, chest, and face (yes, face), are more hives than skin. Completely covered. It has spread to my legs as well, but they're not nearly as bad. So, I remain in bed, just taking different medication. It's a little uncomfortable this condition. I hope the meds work quickly.
P.S. sorry to complain.
P.P.S. I have a picture...but I'm not sure I feel like sharing. I'll probably be a recluse for the next few days.

Excuse the cheesiness please
Today marks 10 months since Kurt and I 'officially' started dating- meaning, we had a conversation that went something like this:
Charity: So...we're dating? We're a couple? Yeah?
Kurt: Yeah. Definitely.
So romantic.
'Unofficially' we will have been dating for 1 year at the end of this month (Our first date was January 31, 2009. Kurt and I discovered this date a few weeks ago when he was looking up stuff on Facebook. Fun fact: Kurt asked me out for the first time via Facebook).
And since we're talking about anniversaries of a sort, this June it will be 4 years since we first met (sorry I don't know the exact day).
Crazytown, USA.
Happy 10 months KGB! It's been great!

Back to School
First: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH HAMMOND! Dos-dos.
I ended up walking a lot more than expected today. Thank goodness I'm feeling better. Kurt and I checked out an apartment (starting point A), then I got some lunch on The Ave (what we call University Way...I'm not sure why), then I continued to the bookstore further down the Ave and bought a textbook I forgot to when I got the others. Then I went down to Campus Parkway to catch a bus up to campus so I could walk to the IMA and renew my locker. From the IMA I walked to a different bus stop, only to find out it is no longer in use as of today. Thus I had to walk all the way home. It was kind of nice to be out and about though. I've been stuck in bed the past few days. I only wish there wasn't a heavy misty rain that doesn't seem to be getting you wet, but then all of a sudden you're soaking. Are you asleep? No? Ok. I didn't bore you too much with my ramblings.

Here's to 2010! May it be even better!
