Hi. Hola. Aloha. Bonjour!
The wedding was great- couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and my dress was amazing (thanks mom!). I can't wait to see the pictures! And I miss Palm Springs (aka "the Canada of America but with Spanish instead of French"). The weather and the Viceroy (our fancy-pantsy hotel) were fantastic.
Favorite quote from the wedding week: Ammon (who is now my nephew) said this to Kurt at the rehearsal dinner: "My mom says your kids will have big noses".
Also, I apparently talk in my sleep- "The eye. It's always watching!" - Kurt asked if I was dreaming about Lord of the Rings the next day.
Farewell! Adios! Au revoir! Aloha! Bye!

Drunk Frat Boys
While driving home from Kurt's apartment last night (it was about 1145) some drunk kid turned to my car from the sidewalk (I was stopped at a light) and started yelling. Initially, it scared me a bit, I made sure the doors were locked. Then I listened to what he was saying: "YOUR LIGHTS! THEY'RE OFF! YOUR LIGHTS ARE OFF!". Apparently I had only turned the nob-thing-a-ma-bob once (thus the lights inside my car were on, but not the outside lights). I flicked on my lights to the frat boy's delight. He let out a huge yell "WAAAHOOOO!!!", threw both arms up in the air, hands in fists, and stumbled for joy.

iPod
If you didn't hear, I lost my iPod. I would like to replay the events of yesterday for you, but Kurt did a great job of telling the story to his parents, so here's the story in his words. Again, here's the story from Kurt's perspective:
"So on Sunday we were at the place she is staying until the wedding and I was on her computer and she asked me to update (sync) her ipod for her. Unfortunately we couldn’t get internet connection so I couldn’t do the sync. We both thought we remembered her putting her ipod in her bag when we left. We’ve looked through her bag, the house, the apartment, her purse, your (Kurt's parents) house, gram’s (Kurt's grandma) house, under rocks, in streams, in wasp nests, etc. Last night we were talking and I asked if she had looked in a few other places, then realized I hadn’t checked the pockets I had been wearing when we left her house…I got up, walked to my closet felt in my suit pockets and I felt something…
IT WAS THE IPOD!!!! She proceeded to call me a thief, we had a laugh and ipod and owner were reunited. All are happy and relieved to be together again.
Long story short, it was in my suit pocket."

Anniversary
This past Saturday, March 6th, marked 1 year since Kurt and I officially began dating. To celebrate we ate at this fancy-schmancy restaurant, El Gaucho. It was awesome! Apparently when Kurt made the reservation they asked if it was for a special occasion and he said "yes, anniversary". Thus we kept on being congratulated- according the the owner (I think that's who he was- he was at least some high up guy making the rounds and asking the guests if their meals were satisfactory) "the first year is the hardest. If you've made it this far then you'll be good". Yes, all these restaurant folk believed we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. I told Kurt to hide his left hand, as I haven't, in the words of Beyonce, put a ring on it (yet). This slight embarrassment but ultimately funny situation definitely paid off when we got a free desert of our choosing.
Other highlights of the evening: everyone receives a complementary fruit, nut, cheese, and cracker platter after their meal. And we exchanged wedding gifts! I received a lovely necklace with the Eiffel Tower on it, for Paris brought us together and Kurt got a fancy Swiss watch- he served near the watch factory it was made in on his mission.

Whew!
I survived the weekend! I had an awesome Bridal Shower #2 up in Mt. Vernon. I got to catch up with some friends from high school and from my gymnastics days. Not that I thought it would be bad, but it went better than I expected. It was rather pleasant. And...I moved! My house is ridiculous- the one I just moved out of. We have so much stuff and a lot of it isn't anyone's at all. Things just accumulate when girl after girl keep moving out and in for several years. I'm rather exhausted and still need to finish up some homework. Happy March! I get married this month!
