Happy Birthday Kurt! I love being able to celebrate my wonderful husband. I'm a lucky lady- and so is Lobi!
I made a German chocolate cake and some cake toppers.
We went to Ammon's football game:
Top: Ammon has the ball!
Middle: Running
Bottom: His team fumbled the ball...right behind him! Whoops!
And we saw all three Winstead boys
Later we had the Hans and Winsteads over for cake and ice cream. We had a great time!
Here's Kurt with Lobi and blowing out the candles!
Love you Kurt!

20 weeks!
So, basically, I'm barely showing. Kurt had to find the right angle to show I'm really pregnant for this picture (that would be why I haven't been doing belly pictures). I can't believe it's half way over!

The Rockwood Reunion
This was the first Hubert and Ethel family reunion. Hube and Ethel are better known to me as Grandpa and Grandma :) Nearly everyone made it! It was awesome and crazy having everyone together- there are tons of kids now between all my cousins! Lobi will be the 21st great-grandchild of my grandparents.
Monday we drove up to Harriman State Park in Idaho. The accommodations were way better than I expected! I've most definitely stayed in worse hotels.
There are tons of wildfires burning in Idaho, so the sun looked red while setting:
I also got to see lots of Char and Livi! Char's doing the balance beam- she really enjoyed watching gymnastics during the Olympics.
She also has an awesome cowgirl outfit (that's a horse on a stick on the ground):
And Olivia! She's much bigger than the last time I saw her. Can't wait to have a little girl of my own :)
There was lots of chatting, hanging out with the grandparents, rafting down the river, and horseback riding (which I didn't get pictures of!). It was a wonderful trip!

Here's the fire pit we'd gather around in the evenings and you can see the cabins somewhat in the background:
I didn't take too many pictures (I couldn't fit my nice camera, so only had the old camera) but here are some of the park!
You can see Uncle Todd and some cousins fishing if you look closely:

Getting to the Family Reunion
I was in charge of getting the twins (Ani and Lili) packed for the reunion and they would be travelling via airplane with me and Kurt to SLC. Mom and Clarence were in Wisconsin for a class reunion and flew straight from there to Utah. Anyways- Ani decided not to go so it was just me and the Lilster getting her packed up and on the drive back to Bothell. As always, she was very entertaining.
Lili: Do you want a dog?
Me: Yeah! Someday, but it wouldn't work right now.
Lili: You know what you should do? Kurt should be a policeman!
Me: Oh....really?
Lili: Yes! And his partner could be a dog and then you could have a dog.
Me: I don't know Lili, that would make me worry and I'd be nervous all the time.
Lili: Oh don't worry Chew! Policemen are very nice to their wives.
Yep. That's what I was worried about!
We hit some turbulence in the air which made Lili panic a little. I told her not to worry, it was just like hitting a pothole while driving- nothing to worry about. After landing and getting in the rental car Lili said out of nowhere, "Wow! I didn't know there were potholes in the air!" Kurt, who hadn't heard my comment, looked at me slightly bewildered. I laughed. It was funny...at the time...
Before heading up to Harriman State Park in Idaho we spent a day and couple nights in Ogden with Megan and Joe and family. On Sunday we met up with Joe's family at a park- Sarah and David stopped by too! It's much hotter in Utah than Washington.
Here we are playing croquet. Thanks for the picture Sarah!
It was great to see the Roths and the Fletchers! We had a great day!

Little Miss Lobester
Here she is!
And she's adorable!
I didn't know how extensive ultrasounds were! When they say an hour, they mean an hour. Lots of measurements were taken of arms, legs, hands, feet, and head. We got to see her little heart beating, her stomach, out stretched right arm and hand, tightly squeezed left fist, and she even yawned! I guess all the poking and prodding was rather boring. We didn't find out until the very end that she's a girl.
They didn't say much but she weighs 9 ounces and they might bump my due date back a few days (lame). They thought she was a little shy of 19 weeks and 2 days which is where she should've been yesterday. It is seriously crazy that all this can be done though! I have a picture of my little girl before she's entered the world.
It's all starting to seem more real with the ultrasound, finally starting to show, and feeling her movements! I don't think it will be a full realization until she's in my arms though. I can't wait!
Guesses!
Luke's guess is definitely my favorite :) He would've been the tie breaker! I can't believe out of everyone surveyed it ended up an even split. Now I know to not trust my instincts on such matters- Lobi's a girl!

Olympic Gymnastics
Oh man! I love watching Olympic gymnastics! I was a gymnast for almost 8 years, but those days are long gone now :) Anyways- this has been a very exciting Olympics full of ups and downs- Jordyn Wieber not making the individual all-around finals (and Aly Raisman making the all-around), winning team gold, Gaby Douglas winning the individual all-around, and then the girls messing up in the individual event finals. Except for Aly (3rd on beam and 1st on floor!).
We saw a special on Olga Korbut earlier this week who I had never heard of. She competed for Russia in the 1972 Olympics. And oh my how times have changed! Her bar routine was like nothing I've seen, but still incredible. Here it is (you only need to watch the first 45 seconds):
Fun fact: did you notice the girl vaulting in the background? Well, the vault she does is one I could do before quitting gymnastics! That's right- I could have been an Olympic vaulter in 1972!

Really?
I'm 17 weeks along (20 weeks is half way through!). Every time I tell someone their response is: "Really?" Wonder when I'll start looking pregnant to other people- I can tell already!
Mom and I went shopping for maternity clothes yesterday! I'm going to be much more stylish as a pregnant lady than a non-preggers one. I haven't bought more than 3 items at once in a very long time! I'm wishing my belly was bigger so I could start wearing everything. I won't have to wait too long- jeans are feeling rather tight around the waist. I may or may not have worn them without buttoning the top button the other day. Anyways- I was super impressed with the maternity section at Macy's. Thanks so much mom! You were WAY more helpful than Kurt :)
A little over 2 weeks and we'll find out if Lobi's a boy or girl! I CAN'T WAIT!
